Thriving bar business in the heart of a beautiful village

Overview

A bittersweet one as this is one of Mr & Mrs W’s favourite bars!  The owner has decided to retire (not before time!).  Joking aside, this bar business is a thriving bar/café/restaurant in one of the most beautiful villages around here.  There is a busy summer season with tourists and lots of village events and a weekly market and the bar and restaurant serves as a social hub during the winter for local residents for morning coffees, lunches and offering quiz nights, music events etc.

Interior and Garden

The bar, originally a hotel, has been at the heart of both the French and international community since 1870, and the vibe is where time has stood still.  There are so few places left where you are unmistakenly in France, as so many bars have decorated their way to a global look.  A great opportunity for anyone wanting to hit the ground running in France, we have full details of turnover etc.

All fixtures and fittings are included, some great traditional features but also up to date equipment, installed by the current owner.  The bar has a fully operational restaurant kitchen including a blast chiller, 2 refridgerators, ovens, fryers, plancha, art deco fridgidaire.

The owners accommodation on the top floor is airy and spacious with living room, kitchen, balcony, office, bedroom and bathroom.  All recently renovated, you could just move in, unpack, get your apron on and get to work!  Mine’s a G&T s’il vous plaît!

The Area

The bar is the focal point of this historic village.  You wind though any of the narrow streets to emerge at the top of the hill and you arrive at the bar terrace.  The village also has another restaurant, a shop, a thriving community life with yoga classes and clubs.
