Utterly charming, presbytery dating from the 17th century, built with a degree of style and grandeur you would have expected of the church at the time. With the priests long gone it’s know a much loved holiday home, I think it’s fair to say If this isn’t the French dream, then I have absolutely no idea what is!

This handsome stone presbytery lies on a quiet dead end lane, a few minutes’ drive to the thriving village of Roquecor with its bustling cafe run by the amiable Jean-Marc.  Entry is by a splendid ancient stone staircase, which leads into the hall way, with beautifully curated interiors using muted colours, comprising a cosy snug, sitting room with monumental stone fireplace and log burning stove, original floorboards and beamed ceiling, country kitchen with fitted units, original stone sink, tiled floors, beamed ceiling and the most splendid utility/wine cave with a vaulted stone ceiling.  On the first floor there are three light filled bedrooms with high ceilings and numerous period features and two bathrooms.  Top floor bedroom with air conditioning, fabulous beamed ceiling and en suite bathroom, all decorated and presented in the best possible taste, with the modern luxury of oil central heating.
