Interior and Garden
Historic stone property, occupying a quiet central position in a quintessentially French village. Having been beautifully restored by its current owners, breathing new life into the original foundations, with exceptionally good taste, pairing impressive architectural proportions and stonework with stylish country interiors, which could be straight out of the pages of the world of interiors magazine.
Comprising a four bedroom house, groaning with original period features, from the cosy sitting room with a huge ancient fireplace to the magnificent beamed ceiling overhead with the original terracotta floor tiles underfoot. Ground floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom, rustic country kitchen with poured cement worktops and glazed door leading onto the garden.
An ancient wooden staircase leads you to the first floor where a large landing with stone walls takes you to the ever so tastefully decorated bedrooms, with original fireplaces, floorboards and beamed ceilings, comfortable family bathroom with arched window all overlooking the grounds.
Outside the fun really starts with established lawned gardens and the most splendid olive tree, surrounded by the vital 11 by 5m swimming pool with electric cover, travertine margelles and sun terrace. Ancient stone steps lead up to the one bedroomed guest annexe, again packed with period features, with a lower floor currently used for storage, but with two arched doorways leading onto the lane outside, would easily make a great studio, art gallery or more guest accommodation with its own private access. At the other end of the garden is the best covered terrace on our books, ingeniously created from a former dwelling, with full height beamed ceiling, a better place for al fresco dining is hard to imagine, with access to a workshop and first floor artist studio.
All set behind a gated entrance way with ample off road parking in the most strikingly beautiful village, and, just as if things couldn’t get any better it’s just a stone’s throw from the excellent local restaurant, other local amenities are just a five minute drive away with everything you could pretty much wish for. Toulouse airport being just over an hour away, if you’re looking for a grand lock up and leave or permanent residence this takes some beating.
