A truly exceptional historic chateau located in the centre of a small, thriving bastide town, situated in a quiet setting within walking distance of all amenities.

The original house being built in the 13th century for its aristocratic owners who resided there till the 1970s, the current property was rebuilt in 1770 at huge expense and transformed into a grand but practical family home. Having been lovingly restored and with great taste and style by its current owners and run as a successful bed and breakfast and events location, with its fabulous, vaulted cellars, it’s the perfect party house.

Comprising of main house with vast underground rooms, a one-bedroom gîte, garaging, wine caves, kitchen, bar, storage and workshops etc.

Accessed from the road via huge iron gates and central paved courtyard, I think it’s fair to say it doesn’t get much better than this! The house is simply magnificent, with a selection of charming reception rooms with period features from the original fireplaces to the ornate plaster work.  A  grand hallway with original terracotta flooring leads into the main drawing room with a large terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside.  Panelled dining room with, without doubt, the best built in cupboard I’ve ever seen, and a separate silver room!  Fitted kitchen with granite worktops and vast Godin gas range cooker, with a pellet burning stove. Substantial period oak staircase with an assortment of charming bedroom suites all presented in immaculate condition having been tastefully decorated.
