What we love

carol ann likes... the original bread oven in the living room and can imagine sitting reading a book in the garden by the viewing area of the mill stream.
robert likes... the workshop with fittings and the man cave, although he has been told by Mrs W that this would be turned into a bedroom in real life!

description

Overview

In a former life, this mill house was the heart of the village as it was mill and bakery. It now occupies a tranquil quarter of a hectare spot in a historic village, surrounded by the abbey, the ancient lavoir and shielded from the hustle of modern village life a stone’s throw away.

Interior and Garden

The mill has transformed into a comfortable 5 bedroom home retaining quirky features such as the mill workings that can viewed from the hallway, and the original bread oven which now is a feature of the sitting room.

The 300m mill stream belongs to the property and has been diverted so no longer runs under the house to the mill workings, but is now a beautiful feature around the garden.

Unusually for a village house, this house is in a large plot surrounded by established gardens and its own 7m x 4m pool. The house has 3 living areas, new kitchen, utility room, pantry and oil fired central heating.

The Area

The village has a thriving community life with cinema club, language classes, shop/bar, post office, tennis court and artisan brewery!

Toulouse airport is 1hr 15 minutes and Agen 25 minutes.
